Chapter 1 - Mulling Things Over by AndroBard1364
“I can’t believe we did this, Shane.” Jenny looks at me with her cool blue eyes, swimming with an amused guilt I seem to not share. A giggle escapes her, and I can't help but smile as I wrap my arms around her waist. We are standing in the L.A. Prison, after having been arrested for vandalizing Niki’s home as a sort of revenge I thought of for framing Jenny for stealing the Lez Girls tapes.

“We didn’t do anything wrong, Jenny.” I tell the woman standing in front of me, her back against the cold cell wall. This is the woman who I have shared everything with for six years and now we are sharing a prison cell. At this, I can’t help but suppress a laugh.

“What’s funny, Shane?” Jenny smiles back at me, her arms crossed over her chest. She looks so beautiful in this single moment I have to stop the urge to kiss her now and here.

“It’s just… the two of us have shared so much together, and now… we are sharing a prison cell.” Even as I say it I realize how stupid it sounds. Jenny doesn’t seem to think it's stupid however, and she smiles, kissing me on the lips.

“I am so happy that you are here with me, Shane.” She says as she stops kissing me, her eyes entrancing me as she stares into mine, their beauty intoxicating. “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world, and none of our friends would have ever done what you did to help me with that idiot actress Niki. There are no words for what I feel for you, and all I can do is spend the rest of my life proving it to you.” I stare speechless at Jenny, the words stunning me. All at once, I toss myself at her, body and soul. Her lips taste like alchohol, but her love tastes like the oxygen I have been missing for far too long.

Trapped here in this prison cell with Jenny, my best friend, my only true friend, I know that she is the only person I could truly love. So many times I have tried and failed to have a relationship. Cherie, Carmen, Paige, and even Molly… all of them ended in disaster, and as I caress Jenny I realize what was missing: understanding. This amazing woman in front of me is the only person who could ever understand me the way I understand myself, and I am the only person who could ever understand her. The rest of my failed attempts at a relationship could never understand me, and that is the reason why it never worked for me… for us. “I love you Jenny…” I whisper into her ear, my voice breaking slightly as I run my fingers through her soft black hair, hair that I once cut with such warmth that one night. “And I am so sorry for everything that has happened to you these past couple of years.”

Jenny looks up at me, her eyes shining, and the smile slowly fading from her face. “ No Shane… you don’t have to be sorry… most of that wasn’t your fault.” She looks down at the ground for a moment and I know with a sinking heart that she is thinking of the night I betrayed her with Nikki, the night I broke her heart. “You are here now, Shane, and that is all that matters.” Her smile returns, bigger than ever, and she squeezes my waist, sending a wonderful sensation throughout my body. Nothing in the world makes me feel better than seeing Jenny, my Jenny, happy when most of her life she has faced more misery than one person should have to bear. “When we get out of here, let’s give everyone a piece of our minds.”

“Well… aren’t you the brave one.” I smile back at her, happier than I could ever dream. “Wherever you go, Jenny, I am with you.”
